Use the NAB app

Follow the steps in one of the guides below to help you scan and deposit your cheques wherever you are.

iOS

    Step 1

    Log into the NAB app on your device.

    Step 2

    Tap More from the bottom menu.

  • 3

    Step 3

    Tap Cheque deposit from the menu list.

  • 4

    Step 4

    Read the terms of use, then Tap Accept.

  • 5

    Step 5

    A series of tips will appear, tap Skip tour to close them.

  • 6

    Step 6

    Choose the account to receive the cheque deposit.

  • 7

    Step 7

    Enter the amount of the cheque.

  • 8

    Step 8

    Tap Scan front of cheque.

  • 9

    Step 9

    A message will appear requesting for access to your camera, tap Ok to proceed.

  • 10

    Step 10

    Hold your phone above the front of the cheque to auto scan.

  • 11

    Step 11

    Tap Scan back of cheque.

  • 12

    Step 12

    Hold your phone above the back of the cheque to auto scan.

  • 13

    Step 13

    Tap Next.

  • 14

    Step 14

    Review the details and Tap on Confirm cheque deposit.

  • Complete

    A confirmation screen will display confirming receipt of the deposit.

Android

    Step 1

    Log into the NAB app on your device.

    Step 2

    Tap the menu icon in the top left-hand corner.

  • 3

    Step 3

    Tap Cheque deposit from the menu list.

  • 4

    Step 4

    Read the terms of use, then tap Accept.

  • 5

    Step 5

    A series of tips will appear, tap Skip tour to close them.

  • 6

    Step 6

    Choose the account to receive the cheque deposit.

  • 7

    Step 7

    Enter the amount of the cheque.

  • 8

    Step 8

    Tap Scan front of cheque.

  • 9

    Step 9

    A message will appear requesting for access to your camera, tap Ok, got it to proceed.

  • 10

    Step 10

    Tap Allow.

  • 11

    Step 11

    Hold your phone above the front of the cheque to auto scan. 

  • 12

    Step 12

    Tap Scan back of cheque.

  • 13

    Step 13

    Hold your phone above the back of the cheque to auto scan.

  • 14

    Step 14

    Tap Next.

  • 15

    Step 15

    Review the details, and tap Confirm cheque deposit.

  • Complete

    Your cheque deposit has now been completed. 

    The funds may take up to three business days to clear.
