Name: Alexander McLennan
Your role: Senior Analyst, Programmer, BPMO, Acquire Technology
Region: Melbourne, Victoria
What’s your story?
I am a people person that is passionate about uplifting my colleagues and sharing knowledge so that we can achieve great outcomes as a team. I studied Computer Science at University and joined NAB as a Graduate back in 1998. I’ve worked all across the organisation over the last 19 years but currently I’m working as a Senior Analyst Programmer in the Acquire Technology team.
How have you made a difference?
Two years ago I suffered a mild stroke that resulted in me spending over a week in hospital and spending another month at home recuperating. During this time, NAB supported me in my recovery and worked with me on a return to work plan to ensure I could return to the office when I was ready. Since then I have made some major lifestyle changes and I’m proud that I’m a much healthier and happier person. I am very grateful to NAB for supporting me throughout that long and difficult journey.
What are you passionate about?
I am very passionate about preserving the railway history of Victoria and I’m a volunteer at SteamRail Victoria. I have been project managing a restoration project of a 100 year old ‘Red Rattler’ carriage preparing it to run for tours on the Mainline around Melbourne.
