Name: Dirk Chinchen
Your role: Senior Health Banking Manager
Region: Sydney, New South Wales
What’s your story?
I’m 55 and joined NAB 8 years ago. I’m a people person who enjoys helping clients and colleagues achieve their goals whilst also reaching my own performance hurdles along the way. I have a BA in Psychology and post grad qualifications in both Finance and Financial Planning. A couple of ex-colleagues encouraged me to join them here at NAB.
How have you made a difference?
Most recently I made a difference through supporting some radiologists set up a new practice in Sydney’s West when their own financier backed away at the last minute. NAB has always been very supportive of its employees, me included. In 2016, I took a 6 month sabbatical to go travelling with my wife which included three awesome months in Europe. I was recently seconded to the Hicaps Go project for six weeks to provide a banker’s insights which was very cool. I’m also a long-time supporter of giving blood and of Lifeline.
What are you passionate about?
I’m passionate about trying to give our clients an excellent experience; the excellent customer experience we offer at nabhealth with our banking, Medfin and Hicaps solutions as well as being the best husband, dad and grandad that I can be.
