Meet Lachlan

Name: Lachlan Stewart

Your role: Graduate 2018

Region: Docklands, Victoria

What’s your story?

I studied a Bachelor of Arts/Law at University, and I knew that after graduating I wanted to start my career by getting some more general corporate experience to complement my legal studies. I was stoked to have the opportunity to join the Graduate Program at NAB, and I’m thoroughly enjoying it so far.

How have you made a difference?

My first rotation is within the Corporate Responsibility team, and it’s great to be a part of a team that are leaders in their field. I’ve had the opportunity to work on some strategy work with our partner Good Shepherd Microfinance, and also get involved in NAB’s work in the Indigenous space. I’m also a member of the Graduate Committee. As a committee we facilitate learning and development, volunteering and social events for the grads at NAB. We’ve got a really great cohort of graduates, so it’s always a lot of fun to be a part of.

What are you passionate about?

I grew up in Melbourne, but went to Uni interstate. Now that I’m back in my hometown, I love getting out and about as much as I can. It’s great to reconnect with old friends, and make weekend trips interstate now and again to see my Uni mates!
