Changes to your NAB credit card
From 1 October 2026, we’ll be making some changes to your NAB credit card. We’ve made it easy to understand what’s changing with the details for each product, outlined below.
Changes to NAB Low Fee and NAB Low Rate cards
NAB Low Fee Card and NAB Low Fee Platinum Card
The variable cash advance rate will increase from 21.74% p.a. to 22.99% p.a.
NAB Low Rate Card and NAB Low Rate Platinum Card
The variable cash advance rate will increase from 21.74% p.a. to 22.99% p.a.
Changes to NAB Qantas Rewards cards
NAB Qantas Plus Card (off-sale)
- The NAB Qantas Plus Card will be renamed to NAB Qantas Rewards Premium Card
- The variable purchase rate will increase from 20.99% p.a. to 22.49% p.a.
- The variable cash advance rate will increase from 21.74% p.a. to 22.99% p.a.
- Changes to the Qantas Points earn rates are outlined in the table below:

Changes to NAB Rewards cards
NAB Rewards Platinum
- • The NAB Rewards Platinum Card will be renamed to NAB Rewards Card
- The variable purchase rate will increase from 20.99% p.a. to 22.49% p.a.
- The variable cash advance rate will increase from 21.74% p.a. to 22.99% p.a.
- Merchandise and Charity options will be removed from the NAB Rewards Store
- Changes to the NAB Rewards Points earn rate are outlined in the table below:

Rates previously applied for purchases made online with Webjet via the NAB Rewards Store or on webjet.com.au will be removed.

NAB Rewards Signature Card
- The NAB Rewards Signature Card will be renamed to the NAB Rewards Travel Card
- The variable purchase rate will increase from 20.99% p.a. to 22.49% p.a.
- The variable cash advance rate will increase from 21.74% p.a. to 22.99% p.a.
- The monthly card fee of $35 will be changing to an annual card fee of $395 p.a.
- The annual fee of $395 will be debited on the last day of your statement period after 1 October 2026 and then annually in the same month thereafter.
- The monthly card fee waiver will no longer be available
- Merchandise and Charity options will be removed from the NAB Rewards Store
- Access two complimentary Airport Lounge passes to selected airport lounges at selected airport locations per calendar year
- Changes to the NAB Rewards Points earn rate are outlined in the table below:

Rates previously applied for purchases made online with Webjet via the NAB Rewards Store or on webjet.com.au will no longer apply. Eligible Webjet purchases will now earn points at the Travel earn rate.

No. You don’t need to do anything. The changes will start on 1 October 2026.

You can chat with us using NAB Messaging in the NAB app or NAB Internet Banking. You can also call us on 13 22 65.

Yes. Most changes require us to give you at least 30 days’ notice, which we have done. You can read more in the Terms and Conditions at nab.com.au/cardinfo.

The changes will automatically apply. You can keep using your card, or: switch to another NAB card if one suits your needs. Check out our Card Selector Tool.

Yes. If you’re an existing NAB customer, you may be able to switch to another NAB credit card. Please contact us and we can talk you through your options. You can also read our Switch your existing NAB card how-to guide.
Reward points changes

From 1 October 2026, eligible purchases processed by NAB on or after this date will earn points at the new rate, even if you made the purchase beforehand.

You can find your new earn rate in the email or letter we sent you, or in the product change details on this page.

Yes. Spending by additional cardholders will still earn points at the new earn rates if you hold a rewards credit card.

No. You will keep your points and can use them as normal.

Yes. Some rewards will cost more points to redeem. So that your points keep a similar value to what you have now, we’ll add extra points to your points balance.
We’ll work this out using the points in your points balance on 1 October 2026 and add them by <<date>>. Read more about NAB Rewards changes at nab.com.au/rewardsupdates.

No. The way you redeem your points won’t change.
Monthly and annual fee changes

The monthly card fee of $35 per month will change to an annual fee. An annual fee of $395 will be debited on the last day of your statement period after 1 October 2026 and then annually in the same month thereafter.

With the change to an annual card fee, the monthly card fee waiver will no longer be available when you spend $5,000 or more in a statement period.
Interest rate changes

Any change to your interest rates will apply from the opening date of your next statement after 1 October 2026. It will apply to the relevant parts of the outstanding balance that you owe and to new purchases and transactions.

Your monthly payment may go up if your interest rates go up. This depends on how much you owe, what you buy, and whether you still have interest-free days. You can check your statement to see how much you need to pay.

No. This change does not affect your balance transfer while your special rate is still running.
When your special rate ends, you’ll be charged interest at the cash advance rate. You can find the end date on your statement.
Product name changes

No. Your card number will stay the same.

No. You can keep using your current card and digital wallet. If your card expires, is lost, stolen or damaged, we’ll send you a new one.

No. Your recurring payments, subscriptions and digital wallet will stay the same.
Other questions

If a benefit is listed in the email or letter we sent you, it is changing. If it is not listed, it will stay the same.

No. The number of interest-free days is not changing for your product.
