March 2026 updates

Simplifying communications

  • Messages menu within NAB Internet Banking will soon be removed. These will now be sent either by email or SMS.
  • Existing messages can be downloaded before the end of May 2026.

Simpler, safer Payee list

From March, we’re making improvements to help you view and review your payee list with:

  • a new look Payee list and modern design
  • new search and extended filters to help find the payees you need
  • a new export feature allowing you to export your full Payee list
  • payees who have a BSB and Account number renamed to ‘Domestic payee’
  • Verify account details’ button when adding a domestic payee
  • two factor authentication when adding a biller, domestic payee and international payee, if you’re SMS registered
  • edit and remove payee options in the payee table for each payee.

February 2026 updates

Easier statements search with improved visibility 

From mid to late-February, you’ll see improvements to search and viewing your Account statements with:

  • renaming the page to ‘Statements’ with a refreshed layout
  • finding up to seven years of your statements without any search date restrictions
  • seeing up to 20 statements per page (previously 12) in search results
  • being able to download multiple statements in one file.

Manage multiple NAB IDs more easily

  • We’ve added a feature called Link and Switch to help you manage multiple NAB IDs more easily. This is what you’ll get.
  • A single login to NAB Internet Banking with your main ID and password.
  • Switch between your linked NAB ID profiles without logging in and out of NAB Internet Banking.
  • Assign a nickname to each linked NAB ID.
  • Change your main ID at any time.

January 2026 updates

Transaction history has just got better

From mid-January, we’ve made improvements to help you view and review your transaction history with:

  • a refreshed Transaction history page and details layout
  • transaction list automatically updating when you select an account. You no longer need to click the ‘Update transaction’ button
  • ‘Date range’ field moved to ‘Filters’
  • paid and processed dates visible in your credit card transaction details.
  • New Pending label – shows which transactions are still being processed. As previously, pending transactions won’t show on your Statement, but the money credited is available for you to use.

October 2025 updates

A better Transfer page is on the way

Between October and December, we’ll be updating the Transfer page in NAB Internet Banking to make it easier to use.

Changes include:

  • a refreshed layout with clearer field labels
  • renaming the ‘Description’ field to ‘Reference’, so you know what’s on your statements.

More visibility on your interest statements

We’ve also made a small but useful improvement to your interest statements page.

In your account list, you’ll now be able to view:

  • up to 25 accounts (previously 10)
  • accounts by nickname, not just account number.

These changes are part of making everyday banking quicker and easier.

Bank online with the NAB app

Download the NAB app for a more convenient internet banking experience. Use our smart phone app to view balances, transactions and authorise payments on the go.

  • Quickly check your account balance securely and conveniently without even logging in. Turn it on in the ‘Settings’ section.

  • Flexibly control your card. With just a swipe, turn on or off contactless payments, online and overseas transactions. Check it out in the ‘Cards’ section.

  • Securely log in with your biometrics. Select from a password, four-digit passcode or biometric (such as fingerprint) identity to login.
