We’re removing support for older versions of AndroidTM. For you to continue to use the NAB app, it’s time for an update.
From 30 July 2018, the NAB app will no longer be available on phones running Android 4.1, 4.2, 4.3 and 4.4. You'll need to update Android, or use NAB Internet Banking in your mobile browser.
Here’s some helpful information on why we are making the change and how you can continue to use the NAB app.
Why is NAB removing support?
NAB are committed to providing our customers with a NAB app that that is convenient and secure. The versions affected by this change are over five years old. Maintaining support for older Android versions limits our ability to ensure a high performance experience, recommended security standards, and our ability to add new features which will benefit all NAB customers.
How do I know which version I'm using?
Finding out which version you’re running is a little different on each device, but here’s the most common way:
- Open your device's Settings app.
- Near the bottom, tap System and then About phone.
- Scroll down to Android version
If you need help finding your Android version, your phone’s manufacturer should be able to help.
What happens from 30 July if I’m running an old version of Android?
You won’t be able to install or update the NAB app from Google Play.
If you’ve still got the NAB app installed the app may still work, but you won’t be able to update the app. It may also stop working soon.
If you haven’t got the NAB app you won’t be able to download or use the NAB app on your phone.
What do I need to do to continue access the NAB app?
You’ll need to update your phone’s version of Android to at least 5.0. Contact your phone manufacturer for advice on what versions your phone supports, and how you can update.
If your phone doesn’t support Android 5.0 or greater, you’ll need to install the NAB app on another device or use NAB Internet Banking via your mobile browser.
