Shaun Dooley - Acting Group Chief Financial Officer - NAB
Group Chief Risk Officer
Shaun Dooley was appointed Group Chief Risk Officer in October 2018. He has more than 40 years’ experience across Finance, Risk and Corporate & Institutional banking. Between March 2025 and February 2026, Shaun served as Acting Group Chief Financial Officer.
As Group Chief Risk Officer, Shaun is responsible for the Risk function across the NAB Group. He leads a team of highly skilled Risk professionals, providing review and challenge, advice and guidance to all NAB Business and Enterprise Units on all financial and non-financial risks.
Before this, Shaun was NAB Group Treasurer where he led teams across Australia and overseas to manage the Group’s capital, funding, liquidity and financial risk management.
Shaun has also led the Institutional Banking, Corporate Finance and Financial Institutions teams.
Shaun joined NAB in 1992 as a relationship banker in the Corporate Banking group. Before NAB, Shaun worked for Chase Manhattan Bank Australia and Elders Finance Group.
Shaun holds a Bachelor of Economics from Monash University and a Masters of Science in Risk Management from NYU Stern School of Business. Shaun is a Director of the St Kilda Football Club Foundation Limited.
