Group Executive, Transformation
Shane Conway was appointed Group Executive, Transformation in December 2025. He is responsible for leading NAB’s enterprise-wide transformation agenda, including the ongoing delivery of the bank’s Technology and Payments Modernisation and Simplification programs.
With more than 25 years’ experience in financial services, across corporate finance, valuation, product, mergers and acquisitions, strategy, and planning. Shane has held a range of senior leadership roles across NAB, including Executive, Enterprise Payments and Technology Modernisation. He has played a pivotal role in driving innovation in payments, including the launch of NAB’s PayTo® solutions, and has led major programs focused on simplifying technology and improving customer experience.
Shane is passionate about making banking simpler, faster and more resilient for customers and colleagues. He works closely with NAB’s Group Executive, Technology & Enterprise Operations to deliver integrated solutions that support NAB’s strategic ambition.
His appointment to the Executive Leadership Team reflects the critical importance of Technology Modernisation and Simplification to NAB’s future growth and customer ambitions. Shane holds a Bachelor of Business and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
