Shane Conway

Shane Conway was appointed Group Executive, Transformation & Operations in October 2026. He is responsible for NAB's enterprise-wide transformation agenda and operations portfolio, including technology modernisation, enterprise simplification, customer experience and services, financial crime and fraud, digital, enterprise operations and NAB's innovation centres in India and Vietnam. Shane also oversees change and transformation across the enterprise. 

Shane joined NAB's Executive Leadership Team in December 2025 as Group Executive, Transformation. 

With more than 25 years' experience in financial services across corporate finance, valuation, product, mergers and acquisitions, strategy and planning, Shane has held a range of senior leadership roles across NAB, including Executive, Enterprise Payments and Technology Modernisation. 

He has played a pivotal role in driving innovation in payments, including the launch of NAB's PayTo® solutions, and has led major programs focused on simplifying technology, strengthening execution and improving customer experience. 

Shane is passionate about making banking simpler, faster and more resilient for customers and colleagues. He works closely with NAB's Group Executive, Technology & AI to connect transformation, operations, technology, data and AI capabilities to deliver better outcomes for customers and support NAB's strategic ambition. 

Shane holds a Bachelor of Business and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
