How the graduate program works
You've studied hard and you're ready to take the next step. We understand that once you graduate, it's not always easy to find your way. We can help you develop the skills, knowledge and network with which to build an exciting and inspiring career.
Our next graduate program begins in February 2025. We hire graduates from different backgrounds such as commerce, science, business, IT, engineering and others. When you apply for the program, you’ll be asked to select a business area aligned to where you want to build your career.
You’ll complete a tailored program designed to give you broad experience, introducing you to all aspects of life at one of Australia’s largest and most successful financial institutions. You’ll also undertake rotations where you’ll build the critical capabilities and professional skills to grow a successful career. From day one, you’ll play an integral role in delivering for our customers and contributing to NAB’s strategic priorities.

Eligibility requirements
Check that you meet the criteria for our graduate program.
Citizenship and visa requirements
You’ll need to be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or be an Australian permanent resident at the time of applying for the program. Temporary visa holders are not eligible for the program.
Tertiary education requirements
You’ll need to have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in the past three years (2022, 2023 or 2024) or be due to complete it by the end of January 2025.
Our hiring process
Here’s the graduate application process.
Step 1 - The online application
The first stage is the online application form, where you’ll share details of your academic and work experience, and nominate your chosen business area.
Step 2 - Online assessment
This includes a variety of online assessments that help us identify your capabilities and understand how you like to work.
Step 3 - The video interview
During this stage we get to know you a little better. Once you log onto our secure site, we’ll ask you a few questions and you’ll record your responses.
Step 4 - The engagement centre
The final stage of the recruitment process is our engagement centre. You’ll have the opportunity to demonstrate your skills by participating in a range of interactive activities. You’ll also meet the NAB Early Careers team, current graduates and business leaders so you can ask questions and find out more about the graduate experience at NAB.
Step 5 – Offer
If you're successful, we'll call you a few days after your engagement centre with the news.
