NAB Microenterprise Program

Sometimes a big idea needs a little help. That’s why this program offers a lot more than just a loan.

How to apply

Here's what you get

An unsecured loan starting at $500 and up to $10,000
Access to training and support through NAB approved partner organisations
A 3 month interest free period allowing you the flexibility to get ahead with your repayments
Loan funds must be spent within the 3 month interest free period
The ability to use your loan funds via a credit card
Up to 3 years to repay the loan.

Work with one our program partners to prepare your application
Be 18 years and over
Be an Australian citizen or permanent Australian resident
Have lived at your current address for at least 3 months
Not have or expect to have more than 5 full time employees
Not have been bankrupt in the last seven years and have no overdue or outstanding unpaid debts
Be able to provide your business plan and financials
If successful, must continue to work with the program partner for at least 12 months and complete the mentoring sessions.

Step 1
Choose a program partner

Find the program partner that works for you and prepare your application. They'll help ensure your business plan and financials are up to date.
Step 2
Prepare documentation

Complete a loan application form along with the necessary documents. You'll also need a letter of endorsement from your program partner.
Step 3
Verify your business

Before you apply, you will need to visit a NAB branch with your ID and ABN to be verified. Ask the branch staff to provide you with both a personal and business customer number. Take note of these to write on your application form.
Step 4
Apply

Your program partner will send your application through to NAB.
Step 5
Receive your finance

If successful, you'll receive a NAB Microenterprise Program credit card to use for your loan in the mail.

A number of documents are required to apply for the NAB Microenterprise Program including:

a completed application form
a copy of your completed business plan
two years of projected financials, including written commentary and any supporting documents you may have
a letter of endorsement from one of our program partners
a copy of your most recent bank statements for all non-NAB debt
last two months statement of transaction listings for all non-NAB accounts
Equifax credit report no older than two months.
