Background and experience
Anna has more than 40 years' leadership experience across government, financial services, industry bodies and the not-for-profit sector. Anna served as Premier of Queensland from 2007 to 2012 and held senior ministerial portfolios including Deputy Premier, Treasurer and Minister for Finance, State Development, Trade and Innovation and Education. She was Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Banking Association from 2017 to 2025 and a Director of the International Banking Federation and previously served as Chief Executive Officer of YWCA NSW.
Her non-executive career spans financial services and the not-for-profit sector.
Anna brings deep expertise in governance, risk oversight, environmental and social, particularly through social policy, community and public sector experience, together with broad strategic experience in complex stakeholder, regulatory and commercial environments.
